The Splendour of a Palace
Built between 1876 and 1878, the Windsor Hotel was a grand nine-story landmark of sandstone and granite, designed by American architect William Boyington. Celebrated as Canada's finest hotel, it featured a gold-embossed lobby, six restaurants, two ballrooms, a concert hall, and 382 luxurious rooms.
